6th Grade week of 4/27-5/1


We will not have Hangouts on Tuesday for my class.  I will “see” you Thursday.  If you have any questions about your assignments this week before then, just email me.  Grades are updated and posted in Plus Portal.  If you have a 0, you may still turn your work in for reduced credit.  
All Assignments are due Monday, May 4th by midnight.
Assignments:
1.  Chose a natural disaster that has occurred that you would like to research.  You may choose from floods (dates/location), tornado (date/location “nickname”), droughts, dust storm, earthquakes, tsunami or wildfires.  Details will be out later, but basically you will be a reporter for this event.  List your top 3 events in order.  First come, first chose.  Events may not be duplicated in each class. I must have your topic by Wednesday or I will assign a topic to you.

Watch the movie Natural Disasters and take the quiz afterwards.  Email me the results of your quiz.

7th Grade 4/27-5/1

We will only have Hangouts on Thursday this week for my class.  If you have any questions about an assignment, please email me this week.  All grades have been updated and are posted in Plus Portal.  If you have not turned in an assignment, it is better to turn it in late than never.  Half credit is better than no credit!
All Assignments are due Monday, May 4th by midnight.
Assignments:
1.  Religion-Watch and complete questions for sections 10.1-10.3
2.  BrainPOP-Watch movie and take quiz on Body Systems. Email the results of the quiz.

3.  Continue work on Body Systems project.  This week you need to list all the organs in your system and their function(s).  Depending on how you are going to present your final project, you may simply write this information down or you may start a Key Note presentation.  The choice is yours for now.  Remember you must use at least 3 sources for your project- you will have to show them to me at the end.  If you have not given me a system yet, I will assign one to you on Monday 4/27.
4.  Complete Input/Output on the Digestive System.  Below are the task cards as well as an answer sheet.
















8th Grade Week of 4/27-5/1

1. Design your Rube Goldberg device.  Once you have done it successfully email me a video of it (10 points).  Afterwards, write a reflection piece of your work-what worked/didn’t work, how difficult/easy was it, etc (10 points).   Remember your device must have at least 6 steps to get full credit.  Have fun and get creative!

6th Grade 4/20-4/27

7th Grade Week of 4/20-4/27

All assignments are due Monday, April 27th unless otherwise noted.  Hangouts Tuesday and Thursday.  Please be ready.  
Assignments:
1.  Readworks- 2 articles.  You may ask me to reassign the articles as many times as necessary up until 3:00 Friday.  The articles are due 4/27.
2.  You will be starting a body systems project.  We will discuss it On Tuesday during Hangouts.  By Wednesday I need your top 3 (in order of preference) systems that you would like to do.  First come first choice.
3. Input/Output about the Circulatory System: Watch It, Research It, Read It, Write It and Assess It.  I have included an answer sheet if you would like to use it.









4.  Religion-Complete section 9.4, 9.5 and Crossword puzzle.

8th Grade 4/20-4/27

All Assignments are due Monday, April 27th unless otherwise noted.

Assignments:
1.  Readworks-Crashing, Jumping, Falling.  You may redo the assignment as many times as you need up to 3:00 Friday.  Email me or send me a message in Hangout saying you need it to be reassigned.
2.  Twirling Penny lab.  Have Part I completed by Thursday so we can discuss in Hangouts.

3.  You will be doing a Rube Goldberg project.  By Wednesday, I want you to email me a list of ideas that you thought of for your final action.  This is a 10 point assignment.  You will get 1 point for each idea you list with a max of 10 points.  You also need to tell me what you decided to do for your project.  By Monday, April 27th, you need to have a rough sketch of your project.  It must have at least 6 steps.  You may add to it as necessary as you build your project.  I will discuss all other requirements Tuesday during Hangouts.

7th Grade Religion week of 4/13

All assignments are due by midnight, Monday, April 20th.

1.  Sunday was Easter, write a paragraph (that means at least 7 sentences) about what the empty tomb means to you.

6th Grade Week of 4/13

All assignments are due by midnight, Monday, April 20th.
1.  Hangouts tomorrow 6L 10:30 or 10:45.  6O 12:00 or 12:30.  Make sure the app is open and we are waiting on the call.

2.  Legend of Learning grades are posted.  If you made below a 10, you need to redo the assignment.  You must complete all 3 games in order to receive full credit.  If you made a 10, you do not have to do the assignment again, but you may if you want to.

3. Complete the web quest page below and submit when complete.





4.  Complete the Readworks articles (2).  You may ask me to reassign them as many times as necessary up to 3:00pm Friday.  I will reassign the articles after Friday afternoon.







7th Grade Week of 4/13

6th Grade Week of 4/6-4/8

Make sure all assignments from last week are submitted by midnight Monday night.
